Review: The King Moore Unity Project “Put A Little Love In Your Heart”

There is nothing more precious and beautiful than the smile of a child. In this extraordinary Re-mix of the 1969 mega hit “Put A Little Love In Your Heart” written by Jackie DeShannon, Randy Myers and Jimmy Holiday and first recorded by Miss DeShannon, there are 7 little angels ages 6–9 speaking to the world. With an added rhyme and a sophisticated hook, The King Unity Project manages to add heart and color to this already warm and magical song.

The Project includes Royal Rose, Nova Starr, DJ Kool Kid, Kanary Yellow, Cash Mania, Lake Anthony and King Moore. Together they took a song that has been played, covered and recorded by almost everyone and released it via Tribeca Records/Tony Mercedes Music. Their release and video has a young urban flavor and a generation to follow flair. Produced by two time Grammy Winning music publisher Tony Mercedes, who found random children from various social media platforms, put them together and told them to believe in themselves. Although the words were slightly changed, Jackie DeShannon’s song will live for all eternity.

The video was produced by Mercedes and shot via Marcelo Nine and the song was produced by Mercedes, Verlin Moore, Sean McMillion, and executive produced by Tony Mercedes, Jackie DeShannon and Eileen Shapiro. It is set to be performed in Times Square live and streamed on September 21, 2024 in celebration of International Peace Day by Royal Rose age 9, Lake Anthony age 7, and King Moore age 8. The three will also introduce composer Randy Edelman who will open the the 5 hour concert with his song “A Thanksgiving Prayer.”

King Moore is a Washington DC invited advocate for anti-gun Violence as well as a singer, producer, actor and fashion couture. His motto is “It’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.” The children will be traveling from all over the country to showcase this beautiful song and the powerful message that goes with it.
